The British Academy of Fencing (BAF)

The British Academy of Fencing (BAF) is the acknowledged coaching organisation for the sport of fencing in the United Kingdom. The Academy has its roots steeped in history and has just celebrated the 500th anniversary of its foundation. We provide a comprehensive programme of support and teaching for coaches, where well established and recognised skills are practised alongside an understanding of the needs of modern fencing coaches with today's competitive fencers.
